Technology leader. Two decades building the infrastructure, cloud and security foundations that let organizations run with confidence — and the teams who keep them running.
Technology is what I do. People are why I do it.
I'm Ron — a husband, a dad and a lifelong technologist who moved to Canada more than two decades ago with a computer science degree, a suitcase and a lot of curiosity. Home is Mississauga, where my wife Monica and I are raising four kids and one very spoiled dog — which means a full house, a fuller calendar, and weekends that are never quiet for long.
Professionally, I've spent my career at the quiet centre of organizations: the networks, clouds and safeguards that everyone relies on and nobody should have to think about. I've done that work in hospitals, in software companies and in global manufacturing — and what I've learned is that the technology is rarely the hard part. The hard part is people, trust and clarity, and that's the part I enjoy most.
Outside of work, family comes first, and whatever time is left over usually goes to a walk with the dog and a bit of tinkering with technology at home. I believe in steady leadership, calm under pressure and leaving every team a little stronger than I found it.
Incidents get solved by clear heads, not loud voices.
Standards, documentation and doing it properly the first time.
Coaching people into leaders is the work I'm proudest of.
From data-centre night shifts to steering technology for an international group — every chapter added a layer of the same craft: keep things running, keep them safe, and grow the people doing it.
Steering the regional technology agenda for a global organization — modernizing an aging estate, leading the cybersecurity program and its governance against group standards, strengthening continuity, and bringing AI tools into everyday work with the right guardrails behind them.
Built a multi-cloud platform from the ground up and led the cybersecurity projects that hardened it — enterprise MFA, application-layer protection and a recurring vulnerability and remediation cycle — while growing a cloud operations team to eighteen people and shaping many of them into leaders themselves.
Guided provincially funded programs where the stakes were clinical: identity for frontline nurses, protection of patient information, and round-the-clock operations for thousands of care and contact-centre staff.
Escalations for enterprise clients around the world, off-shift data-centre delivery, and a first team of my own — the years that taught me how systems fail, and how good teams recover.
Cybersecurity and risk leadership at the centre, three technical domains around it — all held together by people leadership.
Security is only useful when the business can act on it. I set the strategy, own the governance, lead the response when it matters, and translate the technical picture into risks and decisions leaders can weigh.
Multi-year security and technology roadmaps aligned to group standards, budgets and business priorities.
Control frameworks, gap reporting and remediation plans; ISO 27001-aligned practices and executive risk reporting.
Senior escalation point for complex incidents — containment, communication, root cause and lessons fed back into controls.
Disaster recovery, high-availability design and tested restoration across multiple sites and cloud platforms.
Vendor and managed-service assessment, security due diligence, service-level accountability and contract renewals.
Turning technical findings into clear business risks, options and recommendations for executives and boards.
The formal qualifications behind the experience.
